Pune based automobile major, Bajaj Auto launches the latest range of Bajaj Pulsar including the Bajaj Pulsar AS series and Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 the most expensive motorcycle from Bajaj yet

Bajaj launches all new Bajaj Pulsar series

After the national launch of the new Bajaj Pulsar AS series, the company shed more light on the Pulsar range and announced the Pune prices of the new age Pulsar range. The Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 (non-ABS) costs Rs 1.21 lakh, while the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 (ABS) is priced at Rs 1.33 lakh (ex-showroom Pune). The Adventure Sport series includes the Pulsar AS 150 and has a price tag of Rs 80,573 while the larger Pulsar 200 comes at Rs 91,067. Speaking on the occasion Eric Vas, President (Motorcycle Business), Bajaj Auto said that the Bajaj Pulsar has 14 years leadership in the affordable sport bike in India with 43 per cent market share. Moreover Bajaj Pulsar has managed to build a strong brand image and connect with motorcycle enthusiasts of India.

Highlighting the need of the new range of Pulsars, Vas said that this is to meet the changing demand of motorcycle buyers in the segment. Bajaj Pulsar AS series where the AS stands for Adventure Sport, designed for city use and your occasional run to the hill, and comes with a range of segment first features including extended wind screen, projector headlamps. The Bajaj Pulsar RS (Racing Sports) is the company's most expensive model and claimed to be the fastest Pulsar yet. The Pulsar RS 200 is the company's first full fairing offering and will compete with the likes of Honda CBR 150R, Yamaha R15 and KTM RC 200.

The Pulsar RS 200 comes equipped with a 4-Valve Triple Spark DTSi, fuel injected engine which delivers 24.5PS of power and achieves a top-speed of 141kmph. The Pulsar AS 200, on the other hand, comes with a 199.5cc Triple Spark 4-Valve liquid-cooled DTSi engine which produces 23.5PS of power. The Pulsar AS 150 runs on a 149.5cc, Twin Spark, 4-Valve air-cooled DTSi engine which delivers 17PS of power. With the introduction of Bajaj Pulsar AS 150, Pulsar AS 200 and Pulsar RS 200, the company will have a total of eight offerings in the Pulsar range, which will continue to be sold alongside for now.
