Chevrolet launches Beat, Sail U-VA Manchester United editions

Limited edition variants to cost Rs 69,000 more than the equivalent LS variant

Chevrolet Beat Manchester United Edition

Chevrolet is the official jersey sponsor of the famed Manchester United football club for the next seven years and so kick-starting the new alliance, the bowtie brand has launched Manchester United limited edition variants of the Beat and Sail U-VA hatchback. These limited edition variants will cost Rs 69,000 over an equivalent LS variant. The Man-Utd variants will be available in both petrol and diesel engine options.

For that price, the two hatchbacks get plenty of Man-Utd branding on the inside and the outside and the characteristic red colour sported by the football club. Moreover, features like alloy wheels, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators and matte black roof rails sum up the exterior add-ons. On the inside, the limited edition variants get a music system with Bluetooth connectivity, carpets with red lining and illuminated sill plates. Both cars also get seat covers with Man-Utd branding and football motif stitch pattern. While the Sail hatchback gets a two tone seat cover, the Beat gets it in all red. 

Chevrolet Sail U-VA Manchester United Edition

While Chevrolet has mentioned that these variants will be only sold in limited numbers, no cap of units has been revealed. Both variants were designed at the General Motors Technical Centre in Bangalore. 

In addition to the car launches, Chevrolet is also conducting a multi-city tour contest called ‘Chevrolet fast moves’. Two winners will be chosen who get to witness the first match played by the club this season in North America in August 2014 against the LA Galaxy in California.
