The Zero S, SR, DS and FX all receive significant updates – including redesigned seats, updated mirrors, softer compound grips and revised throttle controls. All four motorcycles come equipped with 41mm inverted cartridge forks that are adjustable for preload, compression and rebound.
Also available is the anti-lock braking system, making Zero the first electric motorcycle company to offer ABS. The ABS can be switched off, depending on rider preference. Wheels are now cast alloy and come shod with Pirelli rubber.
Zero has also upgraded the battery pack on its bikes. The repackaged battery cell reportedly provides 10 per cent more energy and range has now increased to nearly 300 kilometres on a single charge for the 2015 Zero SR.
The upgrades have been incorporated in Zero’s Police and Military segments as well, which will get a new model, the Zero FXP.
