India Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd. has released its monthly sales reports for the month of May 2016. The company has registered a good growth of 36 per cent with a total sale of 62,748 units in the domestic market (including Nepal). Yamaha had managed to sell 46,084 units in the corresponding same month last year.
Speaking on the company's growth, Roy Kurian, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. said: “Yamaha’s consistent sales of FZ series bikes are ensuring reasonable presence in the deluxe segment. Now with the launch of the Saluto RX, Yamaha has managed to make inroads in the commuter segment by bringing together styling and comfortable riding with great cost benefits. With the Fascino riding a high wave in the market, the Cygnus Ray-ZR will strengthen the overall volume of scooter sales for Yamaha. Yamaha is very optimistic about its customer centric activities to propel sales growth in the coming months.”
The FZ series and the Fascino have played a major role in contributing to the sales growth. The company is looking forward to achieving a similar response for the Cygnus Ray-ZR and the recently launched Saluto RX from the market. Yamaha's current focus is targeted at the Tier II and Tier III cities which in turn will allow the manufacturer to reach to a larger population in the two-wheeler market in India.
