Yamaha USA had announced that it will be recalling the YZF-R1 superbikes manufactured from 2009 to 2013 owing to a defect in its headlight. Closer to our shores, India Yamaha Motor have also recalled their flagship litre-class bike owing to the same. According to the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer it has detected a defect of overheating in the head light lead coupler. Because of this reason, Yamaha India has asked owners of the R1 to not ride the motorcycles until the headlight sub lead is replaced.
