About a year ago, Yamaha Motor India had introduced its mascot in India named Zippy to promote the Yamaha Children Safety Programme (YCSP) in the country, and boost Yamaha’s brand connect with children, which in turn helps accelerate the company’s growth.
Now, Yamaha is preparing to celebrate the first birthday of Zippy, with Zippy Birthday Carnivals which will be organised at about 120 Yamaha dealers across India from January 9th 2015 onwards. Yamaha owner or prospective buyers can visit the company showrooms with their families, where their children can enjoy games and various competitions.
In its first year Yamaha hosted over seven hundred Yamaha Children Safety Programme activities at different schools across 121 cities in India, where close to 2.4 lakh students participated.
This year, the two-wheeler major will also organise YCSP and Safety Riding Program for women to create awareness about road safety among children and female residents of NGOs Nirmal Chaya, Delhi and SOS Children’s Village, Chennai. Additionally, Yamaha will also organise the Zippy Traffic Safety awareness drive at various traffic signals at different locations across Chennai.
