New Smart ForTwo sketches released

Sketches of Smart ForTwo are doing rounds across the internet just 24 hours before its official unveiling scheduled to take place in Berlin. The sketches drop hints about the new car getting a new and bold design language and a two-box design instead of a single-one.

The rendering hints that this new model is inspired by Smart’s FourJoy concept. The new car gets an evolutionary design with a more prominent grille which is flanked by larger headlamps. This two-seater car gets radical conjoined twin taillamps which once again shows the dominance of FourJoy inspired styling. This new car also gets a larger Tridion safety cell.

On the interior front, the cabin receives a curvaceous dashboard, a freestanding infotainment system and a large instrument cluster. Other notable highlights include contrasting trim, circular air vents and a three-spoke steering wheel.

Alongside the new ForTwo, Smart will also reveal its new ForFour. Details on the latter were not released but considering that the official debut takes place tomorrow, we don’t have to wait too much.
