Volkswagen sells 6,722 units in November 2011
Polo and Vento continues to perform for the Brand with a total of 6,215 units sold

It has indeed been a scripted tale of numbers for the German auto giant since it went about setting shop in India. The Volkswagen Vento sedan and the smaller Polo hatchback have laid the foundations for the brand’s growing presence on Indian roads.
And with the month of November now behind us, Volkswagen’s domestic sale of 6,722 vehicles has once again boosted the car maker’s overall growth in India by 46 percent over. Though the currently ailing auto market is far from experiencing a complete turnaround, the Polo and the Vento continue to be star performers for the global mass market automobile brand in India.
Commenting on the Volkswagen India’s sales in November, Mr. Neeraj Garg, Member of Board & Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said “Though overall market sentiments continue to be low, our growth chart still continues. Our entire range of carlines has performed well during the month and I am confident to close the year on a positive note.”
Volkswagen’s Jetta and Passat luxury sedan offerings have together sold about 499 units during the same month, establishing that the new generations of these two carlines have indeed caught the fancy of well to do Indian customers.
