Targeting the festivities and shopping sprees that go with it, Volkswagen plans on leaving an impression on the minds of the Indian public with this expansive campaign spread across print, digital and out of home media.
Expanding on its penchant for innovative ads that leave a long lasting impression Volkswagen intends to do it all again with this campaign splattered across the country. During the month of November, Post It notes bearing the brands promotional content will be visible everywhere – from conventional newspaper spreads, to parking lots and even movie tickets.
The soul of the campaign though is undoubtedly the contest that VW is running throughout the month, where customers who book the Polo or the Vento are asked three questions at the time of booking, which if answered correctly, will see these customers entered into a lucky draw, with a free Polo and Vento up for grabs.
Lutz Kothe, Head of Marketing and PR, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, spoke about this novel enterprise – He said “We are extremely excited about this unique campaign where we have been able to effectively convert a static medium into a dynamic one across our key markets.”
This latest campaign takes its place in a long line of Volkswagen’s promotional endeavours that attempt to bring something new to the table. If it can successfully replicate the buzz that was generated by previous efforts such as the one’s that integrated loud speakers and vibrators into their newspaper ads, prospective consumers won’t be forgetting the brand ‘Volkswagen’ in a hurry.
