Victory Motorcycles pioneers luxury on two wheels with its 'Vision' of adding comfort to your motorcycling experience, and boy, does it do it in style!

While some call it a trendsetting luxury-tourer, others title it as a design translation of comfort, but for most enthusiasts it is almost like a car with two wheels. Two-wheeler manufacturers often try to go all out in their designs, in an attempt to do something radical yet good looking. Although the concept of making your ride plush has been around for decades, what Victory Motorcycles have managed with their Vision is to add a touch of futuristic design to it.

The massive Y-shaped front fairing that holds the projector headlamps and turn indicators, wide seats for enhanced comfort for long distance touring and the split dual exhaust pipes that blend extremely well with the top box and the side panniers are the makings of an elegant design. A single arc running right from the bottom of the headlight to the end of the tank and following through right up to the tail light looks curvaceous like the body of a beautiful young woman. While the American two-wheeler manufacturer has given the bike a modern feel, the company has made sure that it also retains a retro DNA. In the motorcycle sense, it builds a bridge between the old world bikes like the Harley Davidson’s Ultra Classic Electra Glide and the highly powerful new world motorcycles like the Honda Gold Wing.

For those of whom the chunky design element just isn’t enough, the Victory Vision has a lot to offer in terms of features. It boasts of an electronically controlled height adjustable windscreen which is can be attuned in accordance with the rider’s height. 110-litres of top box and side pannier storage mean that you can quite literally take your home along with you for a ride. Large seats that can easily be mistaken for sofa sets, make riding for long distances a piece of cake. Back rests, heated saddles and handgrips make riding the Vision a relaxing experience even in unfavourably cold weather conditions.

The Vision doesn’t just excel on the comfort front, it also hosts ample of gadgetry to play around with. Fitted to the top box at the rear are audio speakers that are integrated with the ones on the fairing, both of which are connected to a large display screen. It is features like these that make the Vision as close to being a car as possible on two wheels.

The Vision hosts a 1731cc powerplant, 93PS of power and 147.62Nm of torque. It has a six-speed gearbox but what really is a tad bit disappointing is the absence of a reverse gear on a bike that is as bulky. Conventional telescopic front forks and a single mono-tube air-adjustable rear suspension make for a comfortable ride. The front brakes are dual 300mm floating rotors with four pistons while a single same sized rotor at the rear.

Thanks to the sheer gigantic size of the bike, it is sure to turn a lot of heads such that one might even mistake it for an alien mother ship that has just landed on planet earth. With all the characteristics of a car, except for four wheels of course, the Vision offers the kind of luxury that is sure to spoil pamper and you. And although the Harleys and the Honda have been icons in this segment for the longest time, Victory’s Vision is surely not too far behind.
