Remember the time when children demanded motorcycles from parents to celebrate their victory over graduation. Formula One Champion Sebastian Vettel also did something similar

It is not just on the track that Formula One racers like to go fast. They surely like to have their share of fun off the track as well. And what can be more exciting than a really fast motorcycle for people who are just a little too used to going at 250-300km/h.

Sebastian Vettel on his custom-made Marcus Walz Chopper

Four years back, when Kimi Raikkonen won the Formula One Drivers’ title he bought himself a custom-made motorcycle designed by Marcuz Walz. The motorcycle was called Iceman 2, the second bike that he got custom built from Marcus. To a performance bike loving person this one may not seem very appealing but the bike sure looks cool. The machine is pre-determinedly low-tech in terms of its basic premise. With a single swing-arm, and no rear suspension the bike surely will not handle like any other sports bike of the cost. Regardless of a few drawbacks the Finnish racer seemed to be satisfied with his bike and suggested 2011 Champion Sebastian Vettel to get one for himself too. And the German did just that!

As a treat to himself, German Formula One Champion Sebastian Vettel decided to get himself a custom-made motorcycle manufactured by Marcuz. Vettel wanted a customized Avlanche (from the Marcuz Walz series) whose handle bars stood at an arm’s length. With a 120hp powerplant and a total arm-stretching of 1780mm to the handle bars, this baby sure has some elegance in it. The German paid £60,000 (Rs. 44lacs) to get this one customized.
