TVS Motors has launched a limited edition model of the Scooty Zest scooter. The model has been named “Himalayan Highs Edition,” and is priced at Rs 46,113 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes the limited edition model costlier by Rs 600 compared to the standard variant.
The scooter gets a new colour option with oak colour interior panels, a dual-tone seat and special edition badging. Apart from the cosmetic changes to the scooter, the engine and other cycle parts of the scooter haven't received any updates. The scooter is powered by the same 110cc CVTi 4-stroke motor that still produces 8PS of power and 8.7Nm of peak torque. Weighing at just under 100kgs, the Scooty Zest is an ideal scooter for women riders.
The Himalayan Highs limited edition model is a tribute by TVS Motors for the Scooty Zest being the first scooter to succeed at Khardung La (18,380 feet above sea level) with a female rider. The achievement was won by Anam Hashim. She had ridden the Scooty Zest from Jammu, to Srinagar, Kargil, Leh, and then beyond to Khardung La and across Chang La to Pangong Tso lake. Along her way, she had also crossed through some of the highest mountain passes in the world like Taglang La, Lachulung La, the Gata Loops, the plains of Sarchu and Baralacha La.
