TVS Motor announced its sales figure for the month of August, 2015. TVS Motors sold 2,27,653 units for the month of August, 2015 as opposed to 2,25,064 units it had managed in the same month last year. This has resulted in the Hosur based manufacturer registering a growth of one per cent. Export performance for TVS improved by a significant 21 per cent. The South India based two-wheeler giant shipped out 42,570 units in the month of August 2015 as opposed to 35,074 units in the month of August 2014. Scooters sales grew by 11 per cent increasing from 65,544 units in the month August 2014 to 72,865 units in the month of August 2015. Motorcycles sales grew by six per cent increasing from 82,320 units in the month of August 2014 to 87,044 units in the month of August 2015. TVS will be soon launching the Apache 200 in India during the festive season. Given the fact that the Apache brand has a huge following among Indian two-wheeler enthusiasts the new bike should gain decent sales numbers. Another catalyst that would help in pushing its sales further will be the resurgence of the Victor brand. The TVS Victor 125 is expected to be launched by late 2015 and will compete against the Honda CB Shine, Yamaha Saluto, Hero Glamour and Bajaj Discover 125 among others.
