After the first successful season of the Himalayan High, TVS Motors will soon again be conducting the second season of the same that will commence in August this year. The event provides 10 women riders with a chance to ride the Scooty Zest 110 to Khardung La. Known as the highest motorable road in the world, Khardung La is situated at height of 18,000 feet. The riders will be selected through auditions, and prior to the event, training will be provided to the selected riders to help sharpen their riding skills.
The journey will be headed by Anam Hashim, who last year had travelled to Khardung La on her TVS. This achievement had the Scooty Zest 110 mark its name in the India Book of Records. Anam belongs to a Pune-based stunt group and discovered her passion for riding at an early age of 18.
Speaking about the event, Aniruddha Haldar, VP Marketing, TVS Motor Company, said: “We got an overwhelming response, with kudos flowing in to appreciate the capabilities of both the rider and the machine. There were queries from people wishing to recreate a similar ride experience. They wanted the high of riding the TVS Scooty Zest 110 on the most difficult terrain, setting record and feel Anam’s zeal to explore the unknown. It was this sentiment that led to Himalayan High Season 2”
The TVS Scooty Zest 110 has managed to strike a note with the youth, especially the women riders, courtesy its design, features and a wide range of colours (it is available in). Specially made for the new age Indian women, the Scooty Zest 110 is powered by a 110cc single cylinder, four stroke CVTI engine, that puts out 8PS of power and 8.7Nm of peak torque. Anam Hashim’s appreciable effort in first season had encouraged TVS manufacturers to provide one more chance to female riders to show their enthusiasm.
