After images of the 2015 MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR and 800 Dragster RR were leaked on internet prior to the official debut of the bikes at the 2014 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy, the Italian two-wheeler manufacturer has officially unveiled the two new offerings. The new RR variants are the higher spec version of the standard MV Agusta Brutale 800 and 800 Dragster. All the four bikes employ the same 798cc, triple-cylinder motor. But in the 2015 MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR and 800 Dragster RR, the motor has been tuned to extract more 15PS and peak torque has been raised by 5Nm. The mill now produces 141PS at 13,100rpm and 85Nm at 10,100rpm.
The MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR and 800 Dragster RR feature the same adjustable upside-down Marzocchi forks as seen on the standard bike but they have been given an anodised gold finish. Both the bikes also sport a steering damper with eight different settings. They also have been equipped with an electronic package system labelled 'Motor and Vehicle Integrated Control System'.
The system is complemented by a slipper clutch, 8-level traction control, Bosch 9 Plus ABS with Brembo brakes and RLM (Rear wheel Lift-Up Mitigation). The major difference between the two offerings are the wheels, the MV Agusta 800 Dragster RR features Kineo sourced wire wheels whereas the MV Agusta Brutale 800RR runs on cast aluminium wheels. The 2015 Brutale 800 RR will be offered in tow liveries, Pearl Shock Red/Pearl Ice White and Metallic Avio Grey/Carbon Metallic Black, with a price tag of Rs 10.98 lakh. The MV Agusta 800 Dragster RR has been priced at Rs 12.7 lakh in the European market.
