The Triumph Tiger range of motorcycle is the undisputed king when it comes to performance adventure tourer motorcycles in the Indian market. Given the pathetic condition of roads in our country, adventure tourer motorcycle makes perfect sense for our landscape and gladly many performance buyers understand this aspect. But although they are picking the right weapon for the battle but a weapon is of no use unless and until the fighter knows how to use it. Adventure touring motorcycles can be a bit of a handful given their large dimensions and riding on trails and broken roads requires special skill set. For this purpose, Triumph Motorcycles India held a special Tiger Training Academy in Pune. The rider training clinic was organized held in collaboration with MotoDreamz.
The British bikemaker had previously held similar Tiger Training Academy in Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Delhi, India Bike Week, Goa. The Pune leg of the Triumph Tiger Training Academy was held in Kamshet, Pune and was attended by over 70 motorcycle aficionados.
Speaking about the initiative, Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India said, “Having received an overwhelming response from the Indian market in such a short span of time, we want to offer the best to our customers here. The Tiger is truly a remarkable adventure bike much like a high end SUV on two wheels with its state of the art features and rider focused technology suited for both on and off road riding. The Tiger Training Academy is a sincere effort to give back to our passionate riders with seasoned quality training and interactive sessions. It is also a great way of showcasing how much more their very own Tiger is capable of in terms of performance.”
The training clinic gave Tiger owners an opportunity to better understand adventure touring machines mechanically as well as being guided on how to go about riding safely both on and off road. They were taught about the correct riding posture, throttle control and engine braking and other tricks to tackle the difficult terrains. The riders also got an exclusive opportunity to interact with motorcycle rally legend Vijay Parmar who is also the chief instructor for the Tiger Academy. Triumph Motorcycles’ adventure segment portfolio consists of the Tiger XR, XRx, XCx, XCa and the flagship Tiger Explorer XC.
