Its glad tidings for prospective Triumph Motorcycles owners as the British manufacturer have started accepting bookings for their entire range of motorcycles which were recently launched in Delhi. As of now, bookings have commenced in Bengaluru and Hyderabad only even though the showrooms haven’t been thrown open yet in both the cities. Delivery of bikes in both the southern metros would begin by end of the month. While bookings in Mumbai and Delhi would start by the third week of January and deliveries are expected to commence by end of February.
At a gleaming launch ceremony in the capital in November, Triumph instigated its Indian journey by launching 10 models from its international portfolio. But the journey hasn’t been a smooth one for Triumph as it had unveiled seven motorcycles back at the 2012 Auto Expo, and had generated a lot of curiosity among the performance deprived bikers in the country with its mouth-watering pricing. However, the company did not go ahead with its launch plans as it wanted to enter the Indian market via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route for few of its bikes. The stepping stones for the Triumph brand are the iconic duo of Bonneville and the Bonneville T100, which have been priced ta Rs 5.7 and 6.6 lakh respectively (both ex-showroom Delhi).
The other offerings in the CKD line-up apart from the Bonneville pair include the Daytona 675 R, Speed Triple, Street Triple, and Thruxton. The offerings entering our market via the CKD route will be assembled at its Manesar plant. The models which will come via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route include the Rocket III Roadster, Tiger 800 XC, Tiger Explorer and Thunderbird Storm.
Ex-showroom Delhi prices for the 10 Triumph models are as follows:
Triumph Bonneville: Rs. 5.75 lakh
Triumph Bonneville T100: Rs. 6.6 lakh
Triumph Thruxton: Rs. 6.75 lakh
Triumph Street Triple: Rs. 7.5 lakh
Triumph Speed Triple: Rs. 10.4 lakh
Triumph Daytona 675R: Rs. 11.4 lakh
Triumph Tiger 800 XC: Rs. 12 lakh
Triumph Thunderbird Storm: Rs. 13 lakh
Triumph Tiger Explorer: Rs. 17.9 lakh
