The Times of India in partnership with Mak® has been running the Times Mak Moto Quiz which for petroheads and automobile enthusiasts alike. Participants of the quiz are asked automotive trivia fuelled with a dash of humour. The Times Mak Moto Quiz is an attempt to find the most crazed petroheads and motorsport enthusiasts in the country.
The Times Mak Moto Quiz kicked off in November 2011. More than 1200 teams registered from all over the country from. Each participant had to go through series of quizzing at various levels to emerge as winners from one of the cities fighting for the National winner slot. Avinash Mudaliar, the quizmaster tested the participants on questions ranging from motorsport to technical questions on cars and racing circuits.
Separate rounds of the quiz were held in three zones - New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Finalists of the Quiz from the three zones will compete against each other at the Grand Finale being held at Trident BKC, Mumbai, on the 8th of January 2012 at 8pm. The contestants for the Times MAK Moto Quiz finals from Mumbai are Zonal winners - Siddharth Banerjee and Ahmed Firdaus – Mumbai. The contestants from New Delhi are Rahul Jadhav and Sudarshan Nidhi. And the contestants from Bangalore are Sagar Dhar and Manek Anklesaria. Along with First Runner Up team of Ajay Poonia & Abhiram of New Delhi, Deepali Ramaih & Merin Mandanna of Bangalore and Yagnyeshwaran Hariharan & Mitesh Agarwal of Mumbai.
The winners of the Times Mak Moto Quiz finals will get a chance to watch – the Australian GP live in Melbourne.
