Honda gives a sneak-peak of the new CR-V that will be seen in showrooms later this year

Honda CR-V preview at Geneva

Honda has recently revealed images of the European CR-V Prototype ahead of its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show. This preview model highlights the exterior styling direction of the all-new fourth-generation European Honda CR-V, which is set to go on sale in the latter half of 2012.

A closer look at the new CR-V and you’ll immediately notice that this prototype adopts a more aggressive stance with deeper sculpting of the body lines and a bolder front fascia compared to the previous generation. The lower front bumper wraps smartly upward to convey SUV capability, while the design now integrates more smoothly into the fascia for improved aerodynamics. The fog lamps and the headlights look much more attractive than anything we have seen on the CR-V so far. The vertical tail-lights typical of the CR-V character since its very first generation will be seen in the new version as well.

All in all it certainly looks beefier than its Asian or American cousins and we pray we get this one here in India in the near future. So far, the CR-V has definitely topped the sales  charts in comparison to its competitors like the Mitsubishi Outlander and the Nissan X-Trail but will it continue to dominate the segment?
