The annual Gulf Monsoon Scooter Rally is here again

It’s that time of the year again. The time to get your scooter dirty in the mud and slush in the 2012 Monsoon scooter rally. The 23rd Monsoon Scooter Rally is scheduled for July 8. Like last year, this popular annual two-wheeler event, sponsored by Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd. and organized by Sportscraft, will be run along the backwoods of Navi Mumbai. 31 riders participated last year making the even quite a success as Avtar Singh surfaced as a clear winner in 2011.
The rally, open to all Indian-made scooters – two-stroke, four-stroke and gearless – is offering trophies and over Rs 75,000 in cash prizes. The different classes for competition are Above 80cc upto 110cc - Two stroke; Above 110cc upto 160cc – Two stroke, and Upto 160 cc - Four stroke.
Standard entries will be accepted till 29th June, 17.00 hours, while late entries close on 4th July, 13.00 hours. Special prizes are being offered for Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Nashik riders.
A maximum of 40 entries will be accepted on first come basis. Sportscraft reserves the right to reject and increase the number of entries.
