After the 2011 Raid De Himalaya, Desert Storm 2011 and the Dakshin Dare 2011 Rally, Tata Motors Full Throttle team participating with six vehicles, winning the first prize inclusive of Rs. 5 lakhs cash prize and a trophy.
Organised by Ramakrishna Race Performance Management Pvt. Ltd. (RRPM), the 400 kilometer long race was split in two legs on the 10th and the 11th of November 2011. With disclosed time controls (secret time control, self – time controls and GPS time controls) and passage controls, the rally covered the eastern hills and the dense forests of Kurseong and Kalimpong.
Tata Motors Full Throttle is an effort by the manufacturer in organizing all activities in the area of motor sports, including development and testing. Tata Motors had earlier participated in several international rallies like the London – Capetown rally in ’98, the ASEAN rally in ’04 and the SAARC rally in 2007 with independent participants using the Tata vehicles.
