Tata Motors sees increased demand due to the festive season

Tata Motors October 2015 sales report

Demand for the Bolt and the Zest have helped Tata Motors post a 11 percent sales growth in October 2015. The festive season coupled with fresher and more contemporary offerings brings the Indian carmaker back on track.

In October 2015, Tata Motors passenger vehicles recorded a year-on-year growth of 11 percent, with sales of 12,798 units, compared to 11,511 units in October 2014. Demand for UVs, that now form less than a fifth of cumulative sales fell by 9 percent to 1,749 units. Car sales grew meanwhile by 15 percent at 11,049 units, compared to 9,594 units.

This fiscal, Tata Motors has sold 77,804 units, a rise of 14 percent to last year. The company’s sales from exports were 4,569 units, in October 2015, higher by 13 percent compared to 4,059 vehicles in October 2014. The cumulative sales from exports for the fiscal at 32,771 units, were higher by 15 percent, over 28,375 units, sold last year. This includes commercial vehicles too.
