Tata’s Aria replacement, Hexa has been spotted testing. We have the details

Tata Hexa Concept

Tata Motors has successfully managed to change its brand image with the launch of the Zest compact sedan and the Bolt hatchback. But the Sanand-based car maker clearly isn’t resting after the launch of these two cars. They intend to bring about similar changes on their entire product portfolio. Next on cards is the India replacement ‘Kite’ and the Aria replacement ‘Hexa’.

Our friends in the media have recently spotted a test mule of the Hexa bring tested. With the Hexa, Tata will try to make a comeback in the premium SUV class of cars. Produced with the help of the Land Rover division, Tata also plans to export the Hexa overseas. And if you derive a thing or two from their recently launched products, the Hexa promises to be rich in terms of features, quality and refinement.

The Hexa is expected to have the same engine that we have already seen on the Aria – a 2.2-litre mill that makes 150PS of power and 400Nm of torque. But to ensure that the Hexa has a respectable performance, Tata will trry to shred as much weight as possible despite it being a ladder frame. The Hexa is expected to be launched with manual as well as automatic gearbox options.

The Tata Hexa will be placed higher than the Safari Storme and will be the flagship model for Tata. While the Aria was a promising product too, Tata didn’t get the pricing right, however considering the way they have priced the Zest and the Bolt, it seems like they might just get it right this time round.
