Fiat had already revealed its 2014 Panda Cross at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year. The Italian carmaker had then claimed that this high-riding city car is as happy in city traffic as it is taking on ‘the toughest off-road conditions’. Fiat has now revealed further details about its new mini SUV.
The 2014 Fiat Panda Cross flaunts a muscular look with the addition of new light clusters, fog lights and a revised front bumper. Plastic cladding on the wheel arches, headlights and fog lamps along with roof bars, a new rear bumper and special 15-inch alloy wheels give the Panda Cross a rugged exterior look.
The interior features a unique interior trim with fabric and leather finishes, as well as a raft of standard equipment including a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear knob, automatic climate control, electric side mirror adjustment and Bluetooth connectivity.
The 2014 Fiat Panda Cross will be available with two engine options: A 0.9-litre TwinAir turbocharged unit delivering 90PS of power and 107Nm of torque, and a 1.3-litre MultiJet turbodiesel churning out 80PS of power and 190Nm of torque. The two engines offer claimed fuel-economy figures of about 20kmpl and 21kmpl respectively, with emissions of as little as 114g/km of CO2 in the case of the TwinAir.
The new 2014 Fiat Panda Cross will go on sale in Europe this autumn with an approximate price tag of Rs 16.3 lakh for the 0.9-litre TwinAir and Rs 17.4 lakh for the 1.3-litre Multijet (exclusive of taxes and duties).
