Suzuki's latest two-wheelers the Swish and Hayate have been unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012

Suzuki Motorcycles India Private Limited (SMPIL) has unveiled two new two-wheelers at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012. Suzuki says that the new Swish is a stylized version of the Suzuki Access. The Swish will come with the same 125cc motor that does duty in the Access. The Swish is going to broaden its customer base and appeal even more to the younger generation.

The Suzuki Hayate has also been unveiled at the ongoing Auto Expo. The Hayate is a 110cc commuter motorcycle with contemporary styling cues. The Suzuki Hayate will take on the likes of the Honda CB Twister. The commuter motorcycle segment in India has been receiving a heavy dose of styling treatment and the Hayate will be a worthy competitor in the segment.

Ichiro Konda, Managing Director, SMPIL said, “Suzuki is a world leader in motorcycling with products like the Hayabusa. Suzuki is fully committed to developing products that meet the Indian customer’s demands by utilizing its dynamic technological advantage and its human resources.”

SMPIL seeks to be amongst the top players in the Indian two-wheeler market. The company is undertaking production capacity expansion and strengthening its dealer and service network. The company will be increasing its annual capacity from 3.6 lakhs to 5.4 lakhs units by 2013.
