Suzuki announced that it has added two new models to its BOSS range of motorcycles. The latest entrants into the BOSS family include the 2015 Suzuki GSR750 and the Gladius, two mid-range streetbike offerings from the stables of the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer. As part of the BOSS update, the 2015 Suzuki GSR750 and the Gladius feature the special edition livery and the typical black and yellow colour combination. Also a yellow stripe runs across the centre of the bike which is another characteristic BOSS feature as seen on the Suzuki Intruder cruiser motorcycle.
The BOSS editions of the 2015 Suzuki GSR750 and the Gladius have been equipped with additional goodies like bar-end and engine protectors, emblazoned passenger foot rests and license plate holder. The Suzuki Gladius BOSS also gets a restyled tail lamp to further distinguish it from the standard offering along with the restyled end cans. In the studio shots the Suzuki GSR750 BOSS is seen equipped with an aftermarket Yoshimura sourced exhaust system but they aren’t standard but an optional extra. The updates made on both the bikes are restricted to the cosmetic front and no changes have been made to the powerplant.
Powering the Suzuki GSR750 is an in-line-four cylinder, 749cc motor producing 106PS of peak power and torque rating of 59Nm. While the Suzuki Gladius’s 645cc, twin-cylinder mill churns out 73PS of peak power. Both the bikes employ a 6-speed gearbox for transmitting power. The 2015 Suzuki GSR750 and the Gladius BOSS editions will be only available in a limited run in the French market and has been priced at Rs 5.96 lakh and Rs 4.70 lakh respectively. The ABS versions of both the bikes are also available at an extra premium.
