Suzuki begins bookings for Gixxer in dual-tone edition

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd has announced bookings for the Suzuki Gixxer in a new dual-tone colour edition available in two colours.

Suzuki says the new dual tone edition has been inspired by traditional Suzuki Racing Colours and will be available in Metallic Triton Blue with Pearl Mirage White (BAQ) and Candy Antares Red with Glass Sparkle Black (APS). The dual tone edition will be available at Rs 85,729 on-road Delhi and carries  a Rs 1,000 premium over the standard colour option. 

The front mudguard, fuel tank extensions and the grab handles are finished in the highlighting colour in the dual tone edition. However, there are no mechanical changes on the dual tone edition.

Powering the Gixxer is a 155cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor which produces 14.8PS of peak power and 14Nm of maximum torque. The air-cooled petrol engine comes equipped with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) system that reduces mechanical losses to improve efficiency.

Suzuki claims the Gixxer returns fuel consumption figures of 63.5kmpl, but in the real world it returns around 48-49kmpl. Of course, that figure may vary according to riding style, traffic and road conditions.
