Ever so often manufacturers design a fantastic looking concept and then when they finally unveil the production version it almost always disappoints. Those radical and outrageous design cues are substituted for traditional and boring lines and curves. Once in a while a manufacturer steps up and takes the bold initiative of carry the design cues from its concept to the production version. This time Subaru has done just that by announcing that the production version of Subaru’s new crossover XV concept which debuted in the Shanghai Motor Show earlier this year will keep the design cues from the concept.
The Subaru XV is bound to be a magnet for the enthusiastic driver as it will come with Subaru’s flawless Symmetric All-Wheel-Drive system which makes all Subaru cars ride and handle like a dream. Along with being an undoubtedly incredible driving machine the XV will also be practical car with its crossover body. It will be the ideal car to drive your family to a Sunday picnic with all the chairs, tables and what not shoved in the cavernous boot and then when you are in the mood for enthusiastic driving you can drive the wheels off the car. The best part about Subaru cars is their bullet proof reliability, they will never let you down. Subaru always lives up to its commitment of “Enjoyment and Peace of Mind”.
Alongside the XV at Frankfurt will be the BRZ Prologue which will showcase Subaru’s technology joint venture with Toyota Motor Corporation. The BRZ Prologue will be an enhanced version of Subaru’s new real wheel drive sports car the BRZ. The car will feature the horizontally opposed boxer engine layout, the engine is a 2.0 liter direct injection unit. Subaru’s rally genes and Toyota’s technology will undoubtedly make the BRZ Prologue a massive threat to sports cars worldwide. Production of the Subaru BRZ Prologue is expected to start in spring next year.
