Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd has adopted and carried out a complete makeover of the 1172 square meter Baba Kharak Singh Marg traffic training park in central Delhi

Honda Delhi Traffic Park Inauguration

The idea behind the traffic park is to make it convenient for Delhi/NCR region residents to be aware about road safety as well as learn safe two-wheeler riding.

Senior police officers of Delhi Police attended the inauguration ceremony. The traffic park will have Honda’s skilled safety instructors conduct road safety education for all age groups starting from children as young as five years old.

Imported Honda CRF 50 motorcycles will aid 9-12 year old children to grasp safe riding concept through practical riding.

“In just one and half years, Honda has educated over 85,000 people across India at our 5 Traffic Training Parks in Jaipur, Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Yeola (Nasik). Of this, a significant 27,000 were Delhi citizens who were educated on safe riding at Roshanara Bagh,” said Keita Muramatsu, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India.

Expert Honda safety instructors - both female and male – will educate new riders on correct riding techniques, with special focus on beginners and female riders.

“For us, most overwhelming was the enthusiastic response of Delhi women who came forward and enrolled themselves to learn 2 wheeler safe riding program. From 18 year old college students to 45 plus home-makers and working women, over 2100 females enrolled in our Delhi traffic park. To facilitate the same Honda has launched Dream Riding – a safe riding initiative exclusively for females,” said Yadvinder S Guleria, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, HMSI.

Under the Dream Riding initiative, any female rider in Delhi can now learn how to correctly and safely ride a two-wheeler in just four hours. They have to simply email dreamriding@ttpdelhi.in and Honda’s safety instructors will contact them for a safe two-wheeler program.

As part of the activities at the traffic parks, Honda’s proprietary riding trainers will help people above 13 years of age to experience over 100 possible dangers on road. The virtual experience significantly increases riders’ abilities to predict and react to traffic hazards.

There will also be instructions in Hindi language to aid the masses and exchange of road safety know-how, a boon for many existing and new riders.
