Czech car manufacturer, Skoda, will be organizing a ‘Pre-Monsoon Campaign’ for its customers across India (but not Tamil Nadu - I’ll address this later). The check-up camp will commence from 16th May and last until 15th June 2016 at the company’s dealerships in India, and yeah, except Tamil Nadu. The itinerary of the camp includes a 40-point complementary check-up that will contribute to the longevity of the car.

The manufacturer stated: “In line with Škoda Auto’s commitment towards its customers, the ‘Pre-Monsoon Campaign’ offers an enhanced customer experience. The campaign will offer a 40 point free check-up where the cars will undergo exclusive rain care related checks apart from cleaning of the plenum chamber, pollen filter, inspecting the tire pressure and wheel alignment, brake pads, wiper functions, lights and much more. The car will be examined thoroughly and made ready for a safe and hassle free drive in monsoons.”

This sort of check-up camp is important for your cars, as they sometimes help in preparing your car for the monsoon. For instance, the above-mentioned quote includes checking up your car’s wipers and brake pads, both of which are essential for the upcoming monsoon when it comes to visibility and braking, respectively. Apart from these two, AC ventilation, wheel, tyre check-up and a few more are equally important. So, go get your Skoda checked.

Strangely enough, Tamil Nadu has been kept out of this camp. This could be because of the fact that the manufacturer has already organized a camp for them following the floods that hit the region. Nevertheless, we feel that they could have still kept the state in this camp, and it could have acted as a re-check-up thing for the flood-affected cars.
