Skoda Auto India ends the year on a high

Skoda Auto India, one of the most quality conscious automobile companies running shop in India has proudly announced that its sales grew by 38% in the year 2010 vis-a-vis year 2009.
Skoda Auto India’s total sales for year 2010 stood at an impressive 20,166 units. The company's sales performance was heartening in the last month of the year as well with total sales of 2617 units and a growth of 135% over the same period last year Skoda Auto India achieved a milestone of rolling out the 100001st car from its Aurangabad plant. This is the highest year-on-year sales growth for the company since its entry in the extremely competitive Indian Auto Market. “The calendar year 2010 was a favorable one for the Indian Economy and we were able to make the most of it through new product introductions and high impact and innovative marketing initiatives.” says Mr. Thomas Kuehl, the Director and board member, sales and marketing, Skoda Auto India.
The launch of the new Skoda Fabia and Skoda Yeti were the highlights for the year 2010. Though Skoda has not changed the stuff under the hood much but they have managed to piece together the existing engines with the new launches to have the desired effect.
Good products combined with responsive service backup have already warmed the hearts of its customers. Coupled with these, some innovative marketing strategies like Skoda Yeti’s ‘Right of Way’ Expedition, has been successful in creating a platform for the Skoda Yeti while catching the attention of potential customers through the clutter breaking marketing. The car has already won Zigwheel’s SUV of the year & Top Gear 'Car of the Year' awards which is yet another feather in Skoda Auto’s cap. It gives the ideal start to the New Year for Skoda Auto India.
