Apart from staying safe on the road, one of the biggest concerns that worry most bikers is the safety of their motorcycle. With motorcycle thefts becoming a common occurrence in every part of the country, securing your ride is a good idea. While there are plenty of anti-theft systems for cars, there aren’t as many options for motorcycles. But fret not, because the Bangalore-based iTrans Technologies has developed a GSM-based vehicle tracking device than can be easily fitted onto vehicles without any major modifications.
Christened as Tcop, the system’s highlight is its two-way communication method wherein the user can request to know the location of the vehicle employed with Tcop over a mobile phone via a text message and the device will then gather the location information of the vehicle from the nearest GSM tower. Once the information is ready, it will decode it in a readable format and reply back with a text message to the user providing all details of the vehicle’s location. Tamper-proof and compact design, the Tcop device can easily fit under the seat of most motorcycles in the market and it comes with host of other features like loud alarm, SMS alert if the ignition is turned on at odd hours and automatic tracking of the vehicle at regular intervals.
