Skoda India is offering a new 24x7 roadside assistance programme in India this month onwards. The service can be bought for a period of two years from the date of commencement or as a extension on the Roadside assistance programme the car already comes with. It costs Rs 3,233 across models under five years and Rs 4,233 for models over five years of age.
The service includes phone assistance during a breakdown, minor repairs that can be done on-site, battery jump starting, fuel delivery, tyre replacement, replacement of keys if they malfunction or in case of loss of keys, towing of vehicle and occupants transportation and a emergency message relay. The roadside assistance program can be purchased at any Skoda dealership across the country.
Skoda has accepted in the past that the company has earned a bad name on the service front and has assured to act towards improving its image. Such initiatives will go a long way to change brand perception as most car manufacturers are already offering this service.
Skoda will launch an updated Rapid towards the end of 2014 and a Refreshed Yeti in this fiscal year.
