The Himalayan Odyssey is a well-known biking trip that has been organised by Royal Enfield since 2003. Now, for the first time, the event will witness a women-only edition of the Himalayan Odyssey. The adventure ride will be flagged off from New Delhi on May 9 of July. The journey will have the women riders covering over 2,200 kms on some of the harshest terrains and passing from the highest passes in the Himalayan mountains.
The event is being powered by STRE (She Travels on a Royal Enfield), a community of women motorcyclists who ride a Royal Enfield across the globe. The adventure bike trip will be of 17 days from July 9 to July 23. Apart from the participants of the Himalayan Odyssey - Women (HO-W) edition, the entire team also comprises service staff, technicians, doctors and crew, all of them women.
The Himalayan Odyssey will offer an experience of diverse terrains ranging from the plains of Delhi to the snow clad valleys of Ladakh. The riders will receive the opportunity to ride their Royal Enfields to an altitude of 18,000 ft as they pass through Khardung-La Narkanda, Sarchu, Jispa and Leh.
The women and men teams of the Himalayan Odyssey will be flagged-off together from Delhi and will further take different routes before their final gathering at Leh, Ladakh. Booking for the event is currently open. Interested participants can enrol for the adventure trip by logging on to the official Royal Enfield website.
