The Barrett-Jackson collector car event brings together an array of authentic classic and collector cars from across the world, and showcases products and services for them

Barrett-Jackson gears up for collector car auction

Tom Barrett and Russ Jackson met each other back in 1960 in Scottsdale, Arizona out of a common passion that they shared for cars. Barrett had a 1933 Cadillac V-16 Town Car which he wanted to sell, while Jackson came to see this car. This meeting paved way for the Barrett-Jackson collector car event which was established in 1971 in Arizona. Since then, this event provides products and services to classic and collector car owners, collectors and automotive enthusiasts from across the globe.

Apart from showcasing classic and collector cars, unique and unimaginable dealership signs, hood mascots, transportation toys, gas pumps and garage relics, that are extremely hard to find are also showcased at the auction and sold to the highest bidder. This auction has also become a place for American car manufacturers to sell the first production vehicles of a given model in charity format.

This year American car brand Dodge will be auctioning its muscle car – the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat VIN0001 at this event. This SRT Hellcat features a Stryker Red paint, Hellcat badging, specific VIN0001 documentation build package and an additional one-of-a-kind memorabilia.

This event is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas from September 25 to 27, 2014. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to the non-profit organisation Opportunity Village based out in Las Vegas.
