Cosmetic tweaks to be the highlights of the facelifted Chevrolet Captiva that will be showcased at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show

Chevrolet Captiva facelift

Chevrolet will be showcasing a restyled Captiva at the upcoming 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The facelift features styling tweaks to the front and rear of the Chevy Captiva as well as more equipment for top-end variants of the SUV.

At the front, the Captiva now gets a lower bumper with a new mesh grille and new fog lamps. At the back, the new Captiva will feature LED tail lamps, a restyled bumper and angular chrome exhausts. New 18 inch alloy wheels complete the exterior facelift for the Captiva.

Inside, the new Chevrolet Captiva will get new seat fabrics (including leather trim on top end variants), fresh seat colours, a restyled instrument panel, dual zone climate control system, an ambient lighting package, top end models will also get keyless entry and go and heated rear seats.

With the facelift, Chevrolet hopes to make the seven-seater Captiva SUV more appealing to its customer base. The American car maker will also introduce the new Trax compact SUV in spring of 2013 to cater to the upcoming small SUV segment.

"With Captiva and Trax, Chevrolet will offer two very distinct SUVs in Europe, both featuring Chevrolet’s iconic design," says Susan Docherty, President and Managing Director of Chevrolet and Cadillac Europe. "Trax combines the agility of a small car and the versatility of an SUV, making it perfect for today’s urban explorer. The larger and more powerful Captiva has a more upscale presence. Captiva is the ideal companion for those who want to have some adventure, but feel that they could do with more space, capability and that extra bit of convenience," Docherty added.
