2015 Vencer Sarthe officially unveiled

Vencer has revealed the production version of its new car – the 2015 Sarthe. The supercar, which draws its name from the Circuit de la Sarthe, was first announced in 2010 before it made its debut at the 2013 Top Marques Monaco as a pre-production model.

The exterior of the hypercar has been extensively redesigned, and the new 2015 Vencer Sarthe now features a new engine cover, restyled quarter glass, open C-pillars, aerodynamic front splitters and an automatic rear spoiler.

Inside, Vencer has focused on driving essentials and hence emphasised on a clear, uncluttered interior. The new supercar gets a digital central information system that displays all the critical vehicle information. The interior panels are finished in carbon fibre and two-tone Alcantra leather. The carmaker has also stated that each 2015 Sarthe can be given a personalised touch by customising the vehicle with bespoke options.

At the heart of the car sits a 6.3-litre V8 supercharged engine which pumps out 622PS of power and and a staggering 838Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The pre-production version on the other hand delivered 510PS of power and 650Nm of torque. The old version needed 3.8 seconds to do the 0-100kmph sprint, but this production car will do it 0.2 seconds quicker with a top-speed of 338kmph.

Set to be built at a production rate of one unit per month, the 2015 Vencer Sarthe will go on sale in the international market with a price tag of Rs 2.10 crore.
