Rayo Racing, headed by Rayomand Banajee will hold the workshop to help improve driving skills for both budding drivers and enthusiasts

Rayo Racing Karting School

Go-karting is the most basic form of global motorsport. With the greatest drivers to grace the face of the earth, like Aryton Senna, Michael Schumacher or Sebastian Vettel, all having started their motorsport carers in a go-kart, the importance of this form of motorsport is highly underestimated in a country like India. With no decent infrastructure in major cities like Mumbai, karting seemed to be a generally dying pastime. That said, with the opening of a brand new rooftop go kart track at Smaash in central Mumbai recently, there seems to be resurgence in popularity.

Rayo Racing, India’s only team to win international karting titles with Jehan Daruwalla (now a part of Sahara Force India) and other drivers like Amey Bafna, Nayan Chaterjee, Arya Gandhi will hold a training workshop for budding drivers on December 6 and 7. The course will involve both classroom sessions and on-track driving sessions, where each driver will get 75 laps of karting and post-session evaluations.

The sessions, which will be hold at the rooftop race track at Smaash in Kamala Mills, Lower Parel will offer both budding drivers and enthusiasts a chance to improve their skill on the track which will in turn help make them better drivers on the road too. The course will be run between 10:00AM and 01:30PM on both dates. For registrations & more details email rayoracing2@gmail.com or call 09167832954.
