Rajini Krishnan wins Malaysia Superbike Championship

National two wheeler racing champion Rajini Krishnan has won the overall championship in the inaugural Pirelli Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSC) with 143 points.

“I am really happy and proud to win the International race in the 1000cc category for the first time,” Rajini said.

“This is my third international crown having won the Malaysian Super Series in 150cc in the year 2006, and then the Losail Asian road racing championship in 600cc in 2013,” he added.

“This has given me a lot of confidence to aim higher and all I need is sponsorship to realize my dreams.”

Rajini faced stiff competition from Malaysia’s Muhammad Zaqhwan Zaidi, a former Moto2 rider in the fifth and final round at the Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur.

Zaidi finished first in both the races in the final round, finished overall second with 140 points.
