Porsche Panamera Diesel

Volkswagen Group’s performance car division, Porsche has announced a new price structure and six new Porsche Centres. Temporary facilities will be established that would accept orders and handle service requests. “With the appointment of six dealers in less than four months, I am pleased to say that this has been one of the fastest business ramp ups in the luxury automotive sector,” said Anil Reddi, Director, Porsche India. Alongside the Porsche Centre in New Delhi, the six new showrooms will be located at  Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Gurgaon, Kolkata and Mumbai and are expected to be operational over the course of 2013. The car maker also announced a revision in prices across its model range in India with the Cayenne starting at Rs 61.40 lakh, ex-showroom Maharashtra, excluding options. The Panamera, Boxster S and 911 model range will start from Rs 99 lakh, Rs 80.24 lakh and Rs 1.12 crore respectively, all ex-showroom Maharashtra. “The business set-up allowed us to rework the pricing for the entire model range and we are certain that our discerning customers will be pleased with the result.”

According to Porsche, enquiries for the Cayenne Diesel and the Panamera range are substantial. “Our dealers are getting very strong enquiries of the Cayenne Diesel and the Panamera range. With the 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine and a basic retail price of under Rs 1 crore, the Panamera will revive the dormant luxury car segment and offer customers a uniquely styled, lavishly equipped and decidedly sportier option.”
