Porsche is celebrating its long-awaited return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans with a limited-edition version of the 911 Carrera S dubbed Martini Racing Edition. This limited edition 911 in traditional Martini racing design reflects the styling of Porsche race cars of the 1970s. The 911 Carrera S pays tribute to the successes of the legendary Porsche Le Mans race cars such as the Porsche 917 and the Porsche 935 ‘Moby Dick’. This special edition car is limited to 80 units only.
Porsche 911 S Martini Racing Edition is available in two colours – white or black featuring Martini’s traditional blue-red colour scheme on the roof, rear wing, boot lid and sides. There is also an Aerokit Cup front apron and fixed rear spoiler. Other special features include stainless steel door sill panels with ‘911 Carrera S – Martini Racing Edition’, illuminated lettering.
A standard Sport Chrono package and a sport steering wheel are also fitted. Other standard extras include Porsche Communication Management (PCM), black leather-wrapped electric sport seats, tachometer with black gauge and a Bose premium audio system.
The new car is equipped with a 3.8-litre flat-six engine which produces 400PS of power at 7,600rpm and a peak torque of 440Nm at 5,600rpm. Linked to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox this new car propels from 0-100kmph in 4.1 seconds.
Porsche 911 S Martini Racing Edition will go on sale across Europe later this month and it will be available in China, Japan and Latin America before the end of the year.
