Piaggio India launches operations in Nepal

Piaggio India has made its first overseas operations in Nepal, with the launch of its Vespa scooters in Kathmandu.

The Vespa range was unveiled in the presence of Stefano Pelle, Managing Director, Piaggio India through an exclusive launch event.

“ Piaggio India is now pioneering the premium bike segment in the two-wheeler market in Nepal. This country always demands and expresses style. The youth here has a great fashion sense of their own, which is why we think that Vespa will fit perfectly as a brand. We are certain that Vespa will allure the youth with its unmistakable style and Italian charm,” said Pelle.

Vespa VX and Vespa S that will be sold in Nepal ride on a very efficient 125cc, 3 valve engine delivering excellent performance. Both the models are loaded with features such as disc brake, tubeless tyres and single piece monocoque steel body.

The price points will be 249,946 NPR for Vespa VX and 263,946 NPR for Vespa S. The Vespa VX will be available in 5 attractive colours (Lime Yellow, Portovenere Green, Dragon Red, Monte Bianco White and Midnight Blue) and the Vespa S will be available in 4 exciting colours (Taormina Orange, Monte Bianco White, Dragon Red and Matt Black).
