Piaggio India Inaugurates Second Motoplex Outlet in India

Piaggio Group has expanded its product reach in the country further by launching a new outlet in the city of Hyderabad. The new Motoplex concept store is the second in the country but is also the first dealer-operated outlet in India by M/S Shrey Automotive. The sprawling 4,134 sq. ft. showroom is located in Jubilee Hills and was inaugurated by Tollywood heartthrob, Naga Chaitanya, in the presence of Stefano Pelle, Managing Director and CEO, Piaggio India.

The Hyderabad Motoplex store will display products from Vespa, Aprilia, and Moto Guzzi, brands that are owned by Piaggio Group. It will also offer a great opportunity for bike enthusiasts to watch the motorcycles up close in the flesh.

Speaking at the launch, Stefano Pelle, Managing Director and CEO of the Piaggio Vehicles Private Ltd. (PVPL) said, “It is a proud moment for Piaggio Group to bring our flagship store to Hyderabad, our second in India and first in the south of the country. Motoplex as a concept introduces the passion of Italian biking all under one roof by offering an exciting overview of the two-wheeler world, reflecting the innovative vision of the Piaggio Group. The store not only showcases the long-standing history of our brands - Vespa, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi but also highlights their fascinating journey that proudly stands for ‘Made in Italy’.” 

“With the display of various brands from the Piaggio Group stable, the Motoplex store aims to achieve the same success it has had internationally. Hyderabad as a two-wheeler market has always been of strategic importance to us and it was a logical move to bring this concept store first to the city of Nizams before venturing into other cities where similar launches are being planned.” he further added.

Piaggio opened its first Motoplex store in Pune in November 2015. In the international market, the company has already set up Motoplex stores in Milan, New York City, Shanghai and Beijing.
