Nissan Micra face-lift to be launched today

Having showcased the face-lifted Micra, Nissan is now all set to launch the updated hatchback in India. The refreshed Nissan Micra shrugs off its cutesy looks with a contemporary front styling and livelier interiors. Update: New Nissan Micra face-lift launched at Rs 4.79 lakh

Exterior design changes on the face-lifted Nissan Micra include new angular headlamps, a wider front grille with chrome inserts, a new front bumper that gets chrome lining on the lower air-dam along with triangular recesses at either ends to house the fog lamps. Changes at the rear include new LED tail lights and the lower portion of the hatch lid has been restyled as well, the side profile remains the same with the exception of the new alloy wheels that will be available on higher-end trims. 

The interiors of the refreshed Nissan Micra have been spruced up with brighter fabrics and plastics and a piano black panel on the centre console that houses the restyled air vents and a new double din stereo as well as the circular air-con controls. 

Under the hood, the face-lifted Nissan Micra continues to be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine developing 75PS of power and 104Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre diesel motor churns out 65PS of power and 160Nm of torque. However, the driveability of the diesel engine has been improved with less turbo lag. There is also a new automatic version of the Micra that will be available only on the petrol model. 

Currently prices of the Nissan Micra start at Rs 4.30 lakh and Rs 6.07 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the base petrol and diesel variants. Expect the new Micra to cost marginally more than the outgoing model
