Nissan showcased the X-Trail SUV and Evalia MUV at the 2013 International Bus and Utility Vehicle Show in Greater Noida. The Nissan Evalia is a seven seater multi utility vehicle that offers an extremely spacious cabin and several utility features in the cabin. It is loaded with safety features such as EBD, Brake Assist, ABS, airbags and an engine immobiliser. The Evaila is powered by a 1.5 litre four cylinder diesel engine developing 85PS of power and 200Nm of torque.
The Nissan X-Trail features an electronic four-wheel drive system that analyses information received by a steering wheel sensor, yaw rate sensor and lateral accelerometer for estimating the driver’s cornering path and controlling rear torque split for smooth cornering. The X-Trail also features Hill Decent Control and Hill Start Assist. The X-Trail is powered by a 2.0 litre diesel engine that develops 111PS of power and 320Nm of torque.
Nissan plans to introduce 10 new models by the year 2016 and targets to operate 300 dealerships by then with the aim of capturing 10 per cent of the passenger vehicle market share in India.
