A few days before its official unveil, pictures of the next-gen Honda Civic without camouflage surface on the internet

2016 Honda Civic spy shots

A few days before the launch of the next-generation Honda Civic, pictures of an un-camouflaged test mule have re going viral. The car is set to make its official debut on September 16.

Spy pictures of the Civic sedan reveal it to be identical to the concept first showcased at the New York Auto Show. The low front-end with the typical Hoda chrome front grille and the sleek looking headlights give it a smooth stance up front. The large C-shaped tail lights remain as does the fastback shaped rear-end. In the pictures the Civic sports LED headlights, but we expect it to come only in the top-end trim. The roofline flows in a smooth line transforming from a coupe to a sedan. In profile it looks inspired from the old Mazda design.

In India, Honda discontinued the Civic in 2012 and since then it doesn’t have an offering in the D-segment sedan category. While there is no official confirmation as yet, we expect Honda to bring in the new Civic sometime late next year. We will have more information about the new Honda Civic when it is unveiled on September 16.
