2016 Triumph Speed Triple R

A production-ready revised 2016 Speed Triple R has been spotted testing recently.

The 2016 model gets some minor updates including a new fuel tank, different radiator side covers, a smaller tail unit and a reshaped fly screen. The seat is split now, with separate rider and pillion seats and there are additional styling updates, including a red sub frame and red trims on the wheel rims.

The updated Speed Triple R also gets high spec Ohlins suspension while the base edition will get Showa units. The new Speed Triple R is also expected to come with traction control, multiple riding modes, and ride-by-wire electronic throttle system like the Tiger’s.

Additional changes expected are a new exhaust system and catalytic converter for lower emissions.
