Hyundai is looking to up the ante in Europe with its three-door i30 hatchback. Wearing the family fluidic design language, one glance is enough to identify the attractive hatchback as a Hyundai.
The three-door i30 is the sportiest looking Hyundai at the moment with its sharply raked beltline, a more angular glasshouse silhouette, large front doors along with front and rear styling changes that give it a more dynamic profile than its five-door sibling. The three-door i30 gets a new front bumper with a more prominent grille with sportier fog lamps and day time running LEDs. The rear bumper has been remodelled with vertical rear fog lamps while a black strip at the bottom of the bumper gives the car a sportier profile by making it look wider. New 16-inch alloy wheels complete the styling changes for the sporty looking three-door hatchback.
Allan Rushforth, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor Europe, said: “The new generation i30 three-door has been conceived solely for Europe, and will strengthen Hyundai’s presence further in the segment where we have seen our greatest success since 2007. Just as important, its sporty looks − offering a fresh interpretation of fluidic sculpture − will generate greater brand awareness and enhance consumer perceptions of Hyundai in Europe.”
The new three-door Hyundai i30 will be offered with a choice of four engine options and five power outputs like its five-door sibling. There are two petrol engines, a 1.4-litre engine and a 1.6-litre engine. There is a 1.4-litre diesel engine and a 1.6-litre diesel in two versions, the base version develops 110PS of power while the top-of-the-line develops 128PS of power.
The new three-door Hyundai i30 hatchback comes loaded with a long equipment list and good quality materials like that of the five-door version making it good value for money. Talking about value-for-money and quality, the car is offered with a five-year unlimited warranty, five years of road side assistance and health checks.
The car will be unveiled on Thursday, September 27 at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
