Hyundai to launch new Elantra on August 13, 2012
Expected to be priced between Rs 13 lakh and Rs 16 lakh, the all-new Elantra will hit Indian showrooms on August 13, 2012

After five years Hyundai has decided to re-enter the premium sedan segment with their all-new Elantra. Badged as the i40, the new Elantra wears Hyundai’s new fluidic design language. Needless the say, the Elantra is a properly good looking car and based on the success of the Verna in India, expect the new Elantra to be a success as well.
Besides its looks, the new Elantra comes loaded with equipment like a touchscreen infotainment system with sat-nav and Bluetooth, heated door mirrors and steering wheel, ventilated front seats, electric front seats with driver’s seat memory function, dual zone climate control, cruise control, leather upholstery, keyless entry, start/stop function, front and rear parking sensors, automatic hill hold function and panoramic sunroof.
Under the hood the India bound models are likely to sport two power mills, a 1.8-litre petrol motor developing 150PS of power and 177Nm of torque and a 1.8-litre common-rail diesel engine.

With the same engine as fluidic verna, the price difference of 5Lakhs does not makes any sense. Hyundai can only get good volumes for elantra if its price difference is not more then 3lakhs to verna.

WTH will u pay 6 lac more for the. Same engine. Fluidic has the same engine ( diesel) what elantra has. It's better to spend a few thousand more n drive cruze with a very much more powerful engine. They should.have come up.with a better package
