The Worthersee festival in Austria is a four-day event that attracts around 1,50,000 car enthusiasts every year. Volkswagen intents to rock this festival with its amped-up Amarok Power concept that packs up a 5,000 watt sound system. This new concept vehicle is an updated version of the 2013 Amarok Power Pickup concept, and hints at Volkswagen's intention to launch a sporty and a powerful vehicle.

The new prototype features a more aggressive and sporty body kit. Upfront, the Volkswagen Amarok Power gets thin chrome grille bars, LED daytime running lights and an enlarged lower air intake which impart a unique look to the concept. The rear end gets smoked LED tail-lights, a black diffuser and twin chrome exhaust outlets. Black sports bars behind the cabin and matching brake calipers add life to the concept’s deep metallic grey exterior.

Inside the cabin, the 2014 Volkswagen Amarok Power Concept has two-tone leather seats, Alcantara upholstery, a unique steering wheel and a special centre console. In addition, we see some carbon effect accessories along with orange trim.

The German car manufacturer has not revealed the performance details yet, but the 2013 Amarok Power Pickup concept was equipped with a 3.0-litre V6 TDI engine which produced 275PS of power and 600Nm of torque. The engine was connected to an eight speed automatic gearbox and a 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system. The concept vehicle was able to sprint from 0-100kmph in 7.9 seconds.

The Volkswagen Amarok Power Concept is loaded with a 5000-watt sound system, comprising Pioneer CDJ900NXS player, two Void Acoustics Impulse 3t speakers, a Stasys Xair subwoofer and six micro speakers, as well as DJ equipment by Allen & Heath.
